Melissa Suzanne George is an actress, model, inventor and businesswoman originally from Australia. She began her career in Australia and eventually moved to Hollywood in which she enjoyed great success. George is a native of Perth from Western Australia, was originally interested in dance and roller-skating with artistic flair. Her modeling career began when she was in her teens. She earned the title Western Australia's teenager Model of the Year in the year 1992. Her first appearance on TV was in a Seven Network episode of the soap opera Home and Away. Her first big screen appearance was with Dark City, a mystery thriller. Her subsequent roles included supporting roles on projects including Alias The Limey or Down with Love. In 2005, she made her first major Hollywood appearance on The Amityville Horror remake. She is now one of America's most sought-after Australian ex-pats. George is an entrepreneur who has introduced her own brand of product Style Snaps on the market.
